ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with completion of courses required by The American Dietetic Association.
  2. A minimum of three letters of recommendation based on performance in recent related employment or classroom work.
  3. A minimum DPD GPA of 3.0.
  4. Must have completed all educational requirements within the last 5 years.

Number of Interns Accepted: 2
Program Schedule: Begins 2nd week in September through July.
Time Commitment: Forty hours per week or more, various shifts. Some weekend and holiday work is required.
Holidays/Vacation: Seven assigned holidays and one week vacation at Christmas.
Transportation: A car is necessary to get to affiliate locations.
Meals: $6.50 provided while on duty at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center.
Dress Code: Casual business attire Lab Coat: Optional
Health Insurance: Not provided. It is recommended that each intern provide her/his own coverage.
Worker's Compensation Insurance: Covered under the Los Angeles County Insurance Program
Professional Liability Insurance: Interns are required to purchase liability insurance. Application forms will be provided during the first week of the program.
Parking: Provided while at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center.
